Terms of Service — Shoe Who?

Shoe Who? is a social compatibility / match game platform. Users can create games, invite others, answer questions, and view results (including match scores). The Service may support guest play and registered accounts.

The Service is intended for users 18 years or older. By using Shoe Who?, you confirm you are at least 18. We do not knowingly allow minors to use the Service.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to violate any applicable laws.
• Attempt to access accounts, games, or data you are not authorized to access.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service.
• Circumvent security features, invite tokens, or rate limits.
• Use automated scripts/bots to create games or submit answers at scale.
• Upload malware or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities.

The Service may generate links, invite tokens, or host tokens that allow participation in games and/or viewing results.

You understand:

• Anyone with a valid invite link/token may be able to join a game or view certain results depending on how the Service is designed.
• You are responsible for who you share links/tokens with.
• We are not responsible for access that occurs due to sharing or leaking a link/token.

We (or our licensors) own the Service, its design, branding, and software. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You retain ownership of your UGC, but you grant us a license to use it as needed to operate the Service.

By submitting UGC, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and process your content only for:

• operating and providing the Service,
• calculating results and showing gameplay content to participants,
• maintaining safety and preventing abuse,
• troubleshooting and improving reliability.

This license ends when your content is deleted from the Service, except where retention is required for legal, security, or technical reasons.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect and use information.

Shoe Who? may be in early development. Features may change, break, or be removed. We do not guarantee continuous availability, specific results, or that the Service will be error-free.

We may:

• modify or discontinue features,
• limit access,
• suspend the Service temporarily for maintenance,
• update these Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access if:

• you violate these Terms,
• your use creates risk or harm,
• we are required to do so by law,
• we discontinue the Service.

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available."
• Shoe Who? is for entertainment and social interaction only. Results and match scores are not professional advice and should not be treated as factual assessments.
• We disclaim warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service in the past 12 months (which may be €0 if the Service is free).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the courts located in Aarhus, Denmark, unless applicable consumer laws require otherwise.
